How to choose and use an astronomical telescope – Alastair Leith FRAS
£3.99
Description
How to Choose and Use an Astronomical Telescope is the follow-on from our Night Sky single star module.
This book is different in ways from others you find on the market in that it’s not just another book on star charts and telescope types. This goes into more detail about how to actually use the instrument, and how to get out of potential problems. Based on the life experiences of an astronomer with over 35 years of experience.
The book aims to show the reader what can be accomplished and expected from various types of telescopes, and what the upsides and downsides are (again based on experience).
Once again, we are unable to offer this to our readers in hard copy, maybe one day
Enjoy and clear skies!
About the author
Alastair Leith FRAS has over 40 years of experience as an observational and amateur astronomer which dates back to the time when Halley’s comet was in the skies. Starting with a 60 mm refractor from which he got his first views of the Moon, Mars, and the Great Orion nebula he has graduated up to other larger telescopes. But unlike many has also spent several hours wrestling with typical problems the amateur astronomer might face.
In this book, he has tried to explore these as well as break down the jargon.
